Transformer Birthday Party

This year for Big Guy's birthday he requested a "Transformer Party" with a transformer standing robot cake. I thought the dinosaur cake last year was a challenge. But a 3D robot. Yikes!

I wasn't sure how I was going to make a transformer robot but he said I could make "Optimus Prime" in his truck mode and that would be fine.
This is truck mode. And this is my version.

I had some games planned for the party. One being "A Mission to find the ALLSPARK." I found this game online and thought it was perfect. The idea of the game was kind of a scavenger hunt. They had to figure out a clue and then that would send them to the next clue which would eventually lead them to the ALLSPARK.

The Allspark was just a box painted grey and made it look like the allspark and then inside was wrapped candy bars in between layers of a big newspaper ball. They LOVED it!

Peach of the Week

This week was Bear's turn in her class to be "Peach of the Week." Everyone in the class gets a turn to be the "Special Person" that week. Its actually really cute. She was so excited.
The "Peach of the Week" get to bring in a collage of themselves, pictures, show-n-tell and a special book.
The "Peach of the Week" also gets to sit in the special "Peach" chair next to the teacher. It is just a simple white chair so I thought it would be a great idea to dress it up a little. I made this chair cover and gave it to her class. They all LOVED IT!! You cant tell from the pic but the class really like how I made the peach fuzzy and puffy.

Hannah Montana Birthday

Bear is obsessed with Hannah Montana. It was no surprise that she wanted a Hannah Montana birthday party. A "Hannah Montana Dance Party" to be exact. My Love cleared out the garage and made it into a dance club complete with stage, disco lights and a sound system with real mics.

A far as the cake, I didn't know what to do for a Hannah Montana Party but then I came up with this idea which matched the invitations that I made. She was so happy when she saw it.
Here is the invitation I made. Bear loved that I photo shopped her face to be Hannah Montana.

For most of the party the kids sang and danced. Bear isn't much into games at parties but she does like crafts. So the kids all made necklaces in the backyard. This was a big hit!
This was such a fun party!

Busy Bags

So we are leaving on vacation tomorrow. We are going to be in the car for about 7-8 hours. My kids are not the best travelers so besides movies and their own toys to play with I have a little surprise for them that I hope will also keep them busy for a little bit.
I made these totes. Busy Bags I hope. I went to the dollar store and filled them up with little surprises. Let's hope my idea works.
